N O T E:

Normally, these keypads have a coupling for a 4-pin and one 8-pin connector.

However, this lock system was also installed in vault doors, and these were sometimes equipped with a second keypad on the room side! In this case, a regular keypad is installed on the room side, but on the corridor side, a keypad with a second 8-pin connector is installed, which is also occupied by a cable leading to the keypad on the room side. In this case, if a keypad is needed for the room side, use the standard keypad, and for the corridor side, use the special keypad with connections for two 8-pin connectors. The second photo shows both keypad variants from the back, on the left the standard variant, on the right the special variant with the second 8-pin connector connection (marked in red). The 7-wire cable from the lock is always inserted into the LEFT connector in the view; incorrect insertion leads to functional impairments.

Installation instructions: 

The new keypad must first supply power to the individual components it contains, i.e., after connecting, a moment (approx. 30 seconds) must usually be waited until the keypad is ready for operation. If necessary, press the "C" or "*" key to assist. If the power supply in the lock has hung up, please hold a fresh 9-volt battery to the power contacts for a few seconds, after which the lock and keypad should be ready for operation.
