Warranty:
The input units are manufactured in the United States of America (USA). The manufacturer therefore provides these products with a one-year warranty, which covers only the replacement of components. This warranty expressly excludes damage due to wear and tear.
Fixing / Replacement:
Before starting work, open the safe door and, while still open, lock the bolts with the handle. Then remove the inner door panel to expose the lock case.
The keypad is attached to the door leaf using screw adapters. The keypad's base plate has keyhole openings that are placed over the screw adapters. By applying pressure from the top downwards, the screw adapters slide into the keyhole openings and lock into place. Removal is reversed: by applying a little pressure from below, the adapters unlock from the base plate, and the keypad slides upwards, allowing it to be easily removed from the door leaf. Note: The power cable is still attached to the base plate:
The power cable is inserted through an opening in the safe door into the locking mechanism and then plugged into the safe lock. Caution: The cable connector is secured with a locking mechanism to prevent it from falling off and cannot be easily removed. To release the mechanism, first pull the connector slightly toward you and then pull it out of the lock.
The power cable is often routed underneath the lock, requiring the lock to be removed to thread the cable through. To do this, be sure to check any existing cable securing devices (adhesive strips, cable ties). These must be reinstalled exactly during reassembly, as otherwise the power cable could be damaged by movable boltwork elements, which could lead to lock failure. Ensure that movable boltwork components cannot come into contact with the cable.
These are general instructions for replacing an input unit, which we publish to the best of our knowledge and belief. We expressly disclaim liability for work performed independently and any resulting consequential damage.
