3 - Determining the dimensions and selecting the base model:
Basics:
Door frame height:
Our door frames are manufactured for doorway heights of 1200mm and above.
Our door frames are manufactured up to a doorway height of 2100mm.
Any size in between is possible.
Door frame width:
Our door frames are manufactured from a doorway width of 470mm.
Our door frames are manufactured for door opening widths of up to 1200mm.
Any size in between is possible!
The price is determined solely by the doorway width, price changes every 100mm, see details below.
The doorway width is determined as follows:
Frame outer dimensions:
The green arrows show the outer frame dimensions.
Inner frame dimensions:
The blue arrows show the inner frame dimensions.
The formula is: outer frame dimension minus left frame profile minus right frame profile = inner frame dimension.
Note: the profile can be 100mm or 60mm thick, with the same doorway width the outer frame dimensions can change, or, viewed from the other side, with the same outer frame dimensions the respective profile change can result in a different doorway width.
Doorway width:
The red arrows show the doorway width.
Only this measurement is relevant for the correct selection of the required door model.
The formula is: inner frame dimension minus 100mm door thickness = door passage width.
Often, the doorway width is more important to you as a user than the outer frame dimension, as this fundamentally determines comfort during use. For this purpose, the doorway dimension is calculated backwards and the outer frame dimension is determined using the appropriate frame profiles. In installation variants that are installed from the aisle side or the room side, the width of the wall aperture can also be produced as the doorway dimension.
This point is often not easy, so please contact us and we will be happy to help you determine the best option for your project. In any case, you will be the one to decide on the final design.
Now that you have determined the required doorway width, select the appropriate basic door.
The doors are manufactured in two colors to choose from, RAL 7035 light gray and RAL 7021 black gray. You can choose the color below in the respective article.
